Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Jidoc mobile application and the jidoc.io website (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Jidoc is an application that captures links, text, documents, screenshots, and images — typed in, shared in, or pulled from sources you connect — stores them on backend storage tied to your account, and generates AI-powered summaries, mind maps, an entity graph, and search with grounded answers. It can also let an AI assistant you connect read and search your knowledge base. Product and brand names are the property of their respective owners.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Your Content

You retain all rights to the content you capture ("Your Content"). By saving Your Content, you grant us only the limited rights needed to operate the Service: storing your items, transmitting them to the AI provider that processes them, and returning the generated outputs to you. We claim no ownership of Your Content and will not use it for advertising or AI training.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Capture or store content you do not have the right to use, or that infringes the rights of others.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to store unlawful content.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other users' data, or related systems.
• Reverse engineer, resell, or interfere with the operation of the Service, except where permitted by law.

5. AI Outputs

Summaries, mind maps, entities, and answers are generated automatically by AI and may contain errors. They are provided for convenience and should not be relied upon as accurate records for legal, medical, financial, or other critical purposes without independent verification.

6. Plans, Purchases, and Billing

Jidoc includes a free tier with a monthly allowance of AI captures. Paid subscriptions (such as Plus and Pro) provide a larger monthly allowance and renew automatically until cancelled.

All purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play under their terms. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel them in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Refunds, where available, are handled by the relevant store according to its policies. Monthly allowances do not roll over.

7. Third-Party Services

The Service interoperates with third-party services (such as AI/processing APIs, sign-in providers, connected sources, and connected AI assistants). We are not responsible for the availability, performance, or terms of third-party products and services.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data loss will never occur. Keep backups of important content.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall Jidoc or its operators be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim, or USD 50 if you have paid nothing.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if you violate these Terms. Upon termination you may request deletion of your data per our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to the Service and Terms

We may modify the Service or these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of Vietnam, unless mandatory consumer law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
